About Wasp Nests in Stanmore

Wasps can be very annoying especially in and around food or drink. Wasp will build their nest from late April in any crack or crevices as long as there is a void behind it. For Example: in the eaves of your house in a garden wall, trees, bushes, birdhouses, loft space or in chimneys.

Wasps will continue to build their nest throughout the summer months and they can reach from 2,000 to 10,000 and more wasps in a single nest. Wasp Nest Scotland only uses the latest methods to ensure all adult insects and their larva is destroyed. We can destroy Wasp Nests for all domestic and business premises, timber yards and all other outside work places.

Wasp nest removal Stanmore

Well accidents happen don’t they. So today we were responding to a wasp nest removal request by a client in Stanmore.

He had opened the loft hatch and switched on the light to get a few bits out of the loft that he’d stored up there a few years before, only to find dozens of wasps buzzing around the loft light.
On entering the house, there were a few wasps flying around angrily, dive bombing us. The client led us upstairs to the loft hatch.

We took the hook used to open the hatch and gave the trapdoor a mighty push. The hatch flew open thanks to the spring assist mechanism fitted….. and boom!!!! There were wasps everywhere within seconds.

We made a very swift retreat out of the house, client leading the way.

We had to think fast, we had to think smart.. this was not your ordinary wasp nest removal job.

We decided the best course of action would be to fumigate the inside of the house to knock back the wasps that were viciously defending their nest against intruders, us!

We got suited up and whipped out our ULV machine. Set everything up and proceeded to fumigate the house.
Within minutes there was not a live wasp in sight, the floor was littered with black and yellow stripped corpses.
On inspection of the loft area, turns out that by opening the loft hatch, we’d inadvertently smashed the nest which was build in the pathway of the opening hatch.
We left a happy wasp free client. I doubt neither the client or us would forget this any time soon. What a day
